Participants will be given tips on how to run their own PR campaigns, and build a campaign themselves during the workshop. Skills covered will be understanding the media and blogger landscape, planning, and execution toward results. Both traditional PR and Web 2.0 promotional opportunities will be covered.

Lauren McGregorLauren McGregor is a technology PR consultant specialising in the telecoms industry. She has a proven track record of driving forward creative, issues-based campaigns that link PR directly into her clients’ business goals. This has led to high quality coverage across the national, business, technology and vertical press. In addition Lauren helps to organise and host events for the UK Technology Journalists and PR (UKTJPR) networking group. She also is a regular at Mobile Monday events and often writes for its blog, as well as writing for her own.

Lisa DevaneyLisa Devaney is a PR consultant heading Hai Media Group, serving clients in the mobile and new technology sectors. Over the years she’s helped numerous clients earn media attention including Skyfire, AdMob, Greystripe, HipLogic, StreetSpark, Vodafone and formerly worked with global agency Hill and Knowlton where she worked on Microsoft Windows XP launch, and with Motorola and Olympus. She also made international news headlines as a co-founder of WeWantWork.com, a post-9/11 campaign to get New Yorkers back to work following the disaster. She provides her clients with both traditional PR, with an eye toward PR 2.0 strategy and tactics.
