Panel: Inspiration / Outspiration: where do ideas come from?

What is the best way to spark great work? We are presenting a panel of designers and artists who approach their work in ways that cover a spectrum of being inspired from external understanding (e.g. ethnography, user-centric, collaborative art and design), through personal internal inspiration, however they define it. The discussion will include the the role of personal spark versus (or combined with) an empathic, externally-influenced approach and what to do when these are in conflict. The panel will be moderated by Nico Macdonald, with speakers Duncan Arbour, Claire Rowland and Brendan Walker .
